Maysteel workers claim union bosses violated Wisconsin's 'right-to-work' law
Ten workers at Maysteel LLC's metal fabrication plant in Allenton have sued the company's union, alleging bosses violated Wisconsin's so-called "right-to-work" law.
The workers claim that union bosses with the International Association of Machinists Lodge 2053 forced them to pay union fees to keep their jobs after the state law took effect March 11, 2015. The law prohibits companies or unions from requiring workers to pay union dues as a condition of employment.
