Man held for pretending to be a police officer at Walgreens

A Franklin man was accused of impersonating a police officer after Walgreens employees said he asked to pat a woman down in the store, and then followed her outside and gave her and her kids a ride home.

The incident happened at the Franklin Walgreens on West Loomis Road on Dec. 16.

Employees there said Lucas VanEngen is a regular customer at the store and sometimes comes in wearing a tactical vest while carrying a handgun.
