Johnson Sr eyes a seat in Brussels
STANLEY JOHNSON has thrown his hat into the ring to stand as a Conservative in the European Parliament elections, as the party struggles to field candidates.
Boris Johnson's father confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that he had lodged his application to be a candidate in London after party chiefs announced in a call-out to parliamentary hopefuls that they "will be contesting the European elections on May 23 2019".
Any Brexit delay would legally oblige the UK to hold European elections.
