Israel's wait for a government will extend a few days more

TEL AVIV, Israel - At the last minute, Thursday's swearing-in of Israel's new government was postponed until Sunday, as caretaker Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he needed more time to distribute portfolios to future ministers.

The decision came just as the Knesset, Israel's parliament, was set to begin the long-awaited ceremony. Netanyahu and former rival Benny Gantz made the decision jointly, according to a statement.
