Institutional investors have been gorging themselves on alternative credit for more than half a decade, and their collective appetite shows little sign of abating.

Analysis of Pensions & Investments' hiring activity shows that new assets committed to alternative credit strategies by institutional investors totaled $79.7 billion in the seven years and one quarter ended March 31.
