In Md., Va., a tale of two transponder-less tolls
Dear Dr. Gridlock:
My driving patterns do not warrant getting an E-ZPass transponder, but there are times when I would like to use the 495 Express Lanes. Why do they not have the option to have your license plate photographed and a bill mailed to you like they do on the Intercounty Connector in Maryland?
I would gladly pay the service charge for a mailed statement for those few times I use the road.
