HSBC Holdings Plc said Aug. 4 that it appointed Antonio Simoes CEO of HSBC Bank Plc and CEO of Europe, effective Sept. 1.
Simoes, who has been with HSBC since 2007, will join the group management board.
He succeeds Alan Keir, who will step down as HSBC Bank's CEO effective Sept. 30, and will retire from the group effective March 31, 2016.
