Goodwin, candidate in 2018, joins packed race for Grosso's seat
Marcus Goodwin on Wednesday joined the crowded race for an at-large seat on the D.C. Council, the latest entrant in a wide-open competition to join an increasingly liberal body.
The 30-year-old real estate professional is running as a business-minded independent to succeed council member David Grosso (I-At Large). One of the panel's most liberal lawmakers, Grosso opted not to seek a third term, creating the first open council seat since 2015.
