Getting to the beach gets cheaper with new MidAmerica flights to Florida, S.C., for $49

MASCOUTAH - MidAmerica Airport is adding nonstop flights this spring on Allegiant Air to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Year-round service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is slated to start May 17, with some fares as low as $55.

Seasonal service to Myrtle Beach International Airport is scheduled to begin May 26 with some $49 fares.

Both flights will operate twice a week, the Las Vegas-based Allegiant said Tuesday.
