Funding the key fix needed for aged care

The aged care royal commission has wiped more than $527 million off the market capitalisations of the top listed players, Regis, Japara and Estia, before it has held its first hearing on Friday.

The inquiry, announced three months ago, will take 18 months, six months longer than the banking royal commission, and is widely expected to result in a major shake-up of the $20 billion industry.
