FBI names new agent in charge for Boston office

The Boston office of the FBI has a new leader. FBI Director Christopher Wray on Monday named Joseph Bonavolonta special agent in charge of the office, which oversees Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, and New Hampshire. He replaces Harold Shaw, who retired last month. It will be the 45-year-old Bonavolonta's second stint in Boston. He was previously assistant special agent in charge from 2013 until 2017.
