Two cabinet ministers from a pro-Kurdish party quit Turkey's interim government on Tuesday amid rising tensions after a cease-fire with Kurdish militants collapsed in July. Ali Haydar Konca, the European Union minister, and Muslum Dogan, the development minister, were the only ministers from the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party.
