Connecture cuts staff, raises capital after 2016 losses

After reporting a 2016 net loss of $26.5 million and a 14.6 percent decrease in revenue for the year, Brookfield-based Connecture Inc. disclosed reducing its workforce and raising capital from a private-equity firm that now owns the majority of Connecture.
Connecture (Nasdaq: CNXR) is a provider of web-based information systems used to create health insurance marketplaces. The company's headquarters are in 32,000 square feet of leased space at 18500 W. Corporate Drive in Brookfield.
