Congo internet cut over 'fake' election results
Internet connections and SMS services were cut for a second day yesterday in the Democratic Republic of Congo - amid claims that fake election results were being spread on social media.
Barnabé Kikaya bin Karubi, a senior adviser to Joseph Kabila, the DRC president, said the services were cut to preserve public order.
