Cockroaches bugging Pentonville jail inmates
Insecticide resistant cockroaches have overrun Britain's busiest jail, according to a watchdog.
Pentonville prison in north London has been "neglected", resulting in "masses of cockroaches" infesting cells, kitchens and visitor areas, the Independent Monitoring Board at the jail said. It called on Robert Buckland, the Justice Secretary, and Lucy Frazer, the prisons minister, to provide "adequate funds" for improvements "as a matter of urgency".
