Cincinnati stocks plummet as markets fall on China trade war
Shares in Cincinnati-based public companies fell with the broader market as China weakened its currency ahead of the threat of additional tariffs in the escalating trade war with the U.S.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average feel more 767 points, nearly 3%, in Monday trading on news that China's currency, the renminbi, was devalued. Monday morning, it took about 7.05 renminbi to equal $1, an exchange rate not reached since the financial crisis of 2008.
