Broadcom sheds security platform for $950 million to private equity firm on an acquisition tear
Broadcom Inc. has wasted no time divesting a major business it inherited from its recent acquisition of CA Technologies.
Months after the unexpected announcement that it was buying software security company CA Technologies, San Jose-based Broadcom Inc. has closed that deal and is now shedding CA's Veracode application security testing platform to private equity firm Thoma Bravo for $950 million in cash.
CA initially acquired Veracode for $614 million in 2017.
