Blackwater founder targets metals for e-vehicle batteries

ERIK PRINCE, the billionaire founder of controversial security contractor Blackwater, is planning to raise $500m (£393) to invest in the supply of metals used in electric car batteries.

Mr Prince, who has close links with the Donald Trump administration, plans to capitalise on the booming demand for lithium, cobalt and copper as an increasing number of carmakers swap internal combustion engines for electric power.
