Bangladesh: Floods Put 7.6 Million at Risk, International Federation of Red Cross Announces Tenfold Increase in Assistance
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies issued the following news release:
Dhaka/Kuala Lumpur/Geneva - Continued heavy rainfalls in Bangladesh combined with severe flooding in neighbouring countries have led to the highest river water levels in a century putting 7.6 million people at risk of hunger and disease.
