Baker Hughes vows to cut CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030, achieve net zero by 2050

Baker Hughes a GE company said Jan. 28 it will commit to reducing its carbon dioxide equivalent emissions by 50% by 2030 and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

The Texas-based oil and gas equipment and services provider said it has already achieved a 26% reduction in its emissions since 2012 and that it "will continue to employ a broad range of emissions reduction initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, energy sourcing and generation."
