Amid faculty battle, CSU takes
The California State University board of trustees voted Wednesday to technically eliminate the cap on the salary it can offer new campus presidents.
The board was divided, 8-4, on the vote. At least one board member was concerned about the timing of the move.
"When we're telling faculty they can't have more than 2 percent, but we're looking at potentially giving new presidents 10 percent, that's not a good message to send," said board member Douglas Faigin.
