One of the world's best known companies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) is setting up shop in Alberta.

DeepMind Technologies Ltd., a British firm that was acquired by Google in 2014 and is now part of Google's parent company Alphabet Inc., announced on Wednesday that it is establishing a satellite research office in Edmonton, a key hub for AI in Canada.
