2017 Legislative Preview: grappling with $1B Medicaid hole

One of the most knotty and critical pieces of health care-related legislation this session will be the state's 2017-19 budget.

Oregon's Medicaid program is facing a $1 billion budget hole, representing about half of the state's total budget deficit. Making matters more troubling, the upcoming Congressional repeal of the Affordable Care Act could make the hole even deeper for Oregon.
