Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C) has named a top executive to its ranks.
CEO Michael Corbat said in a note that the firm has appointed Jane Fraser as president. The role had been vacant since the beginning of this year. Fraser will also become CEO of Global Consumer Banking. She is to take over from Stephen Bird, who is leaving the firm.
Ernesto Torres Cantu, currently CEO of Citibanamex, is to succeed Fraser as CEO of Latin America.
