The New York Community Bank Foundation is proud to help to improve the quality of life for our neighbors on Long Island and Queens, with grants totaling over $21 million dollars to date. We have been able to assist with diverse needs - from health-related organizations to education, community services, and cultural activities. We believe our personal relationships with not-for-profits are part of how we are able to be effective. The time we spend answering questions and providing guidance results in stronger candidates for future funding not only from NYCB Foundation, but other foundations and businesses as well. Recently, we have been focusing on a few issues that we feel are critical on Long Island such as the nursing shortage, assisting first-time home buyers, and the environment. By concentrating grants in these areas we hope to make a significant impact. You can learn more about our past grants and our guidelines as you continue through the web site. We thank Long Island’s philanthropic community for your hard work and wish all of you continued success.
