Winners not only save buildings, but also history : Five awards recognize people and projects for preserving Omaha sites

A handful of people and projects stood out to a panel of out-of-town preservationists who looked at Omaha's recent record of "saving places."

The five selected by members of the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota came from nominations submitted by local architects, real estate professionals and others.

They are to be recognized March 3 during the 2017 Saving Places awards event hosted by Restoration Exchange Omaha.
