With President Trump's recent flurry of controversial Executive Orders, it seemed like a good time to delve into the question of what these orders are exactly.

Executive Orders aren't specifically mentioned in the Constitution, but they've been around since George Washington's presidency, serving as a means for the president to see that the laws are "faithfully executed." President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation may be the most famous one of all.
