Was disdain for litterers behind officer's behavior that was caught on video?

Feb 28, 2017 - Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Texas)

It started with the claim that a little boy had had been assaulted for littering in a neighbor's yard.

Then came the call to police, an ugly conversation between an officer and a mother, and the eventual arrests of the woman and her two daughters.

The incident, caught on video, gained millions of views on Facebook, thrusting Fort Worth and officer William Martin into an unfavorable national spotlight.

As it turns out, Martin said littering is one of his pet peeves.
