Trian Launches Fund as it Girds for DuPont Fight

Trian Fund Management continues to build its war chest.

The New York activist investor, founded by Nelson Peltz, Peter May and Edward Garden, has launched a new co-investment fund, Trian Partners Co-Investment Opportunities Fund. The fund so far has $600 million committed. It is open-ended, which means investors can contribute additional money each month, according to a source familiar with the fund.

Altogether, Trian now has close to $11 billion under management. This is up from $8.
