Trafficking suspect pleads to lesser charge

A man accused of forcing a Collin County teenager into prostitution pleaded guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor after questions arose at trial about the teen's credibility.

Marcel RaAnthony Richard, 31, had been charged with human trafficking and compelling prostitution of a person younger than 18, both first-degree felonies. He was convicted of a lesser charge of promotion of prostitution and sentenced to 230 days. He received credit for the 237 days he has been held in the Collin County ja
