CLAYTON - The St. Louis County Council decided Tuesday who will be the next auditor here after a tumultuous process that called into question his qualifications for the job.
The council approved former health care lobbyist Mark Tucker for the job in a 4-3 vote. The council agreed in closed door meetings in January to part ways with the former auditor.
Some members who voted against Tucker cited concerns about his experience in auditing and accounting.
