S&P/TSX Equity Completion Index increases 1.5%

The S&P/TSX Equity Completion Index increased 15.0 points (or 1.5%) to close at 986.8. Compared with the S&P/TSX 60 index which lifted 11.1 points (or 1.2%) on the day, this represented a relative price increase of 0.3%.

Market capitalization of the S&P/TSX Equity Completion Index rose 1.5% or CAD9.1 billion (US$6.9 billion) to CAD607.7 billion (US$455.6 billion). Amongst the 178 Stocks traded on the S&P/TSX Equity Completion Index today, 144 (77%) advance
