S&P/TSX Composite Index increases 1.3%

The S&P/TSX Composite Index increased 200.4 points (or 1.3%) to close at 15,599.7. Compared with the S&P/TSX 60 index which lifted 11.1 points (or 1.2%) on the day, this represented a relative price increase of 0.08%.

Market capitalization of the S&P/TSX Composite Index rose 1.2% or CAD26.9 billion (US$20.2 billion) to CAD2,173.5 billion (US$1,629.7 billion). Amongst the 237 Stocks traded on the S&P/TSX Composite Index today, 188 (76.1%) advanced, 44 (17.8
