Short-term rentals may face limits:Cambridge officials are concerned about the effect on housing stock.

There were about 900 listings for Cambridge on Airbnb in January 2015, according to the tracking company Airdna, including entire units and homes, as well as private and shared rooms. By this January, that number had increased to just under 1,400 listings. Cambridge officials are considering limiting such rentals to owner-occupied homes.
