The mystery of the missing newspaper boxes has been resolved, although the motive remains awfully hazy.
The Downtown Cleveland Alliance says its workers removed 26 Cleveland Scene newspaper boxes because they had blown over into the street or on the sidewalk. But if that were the case, why wasn’t the Scene alerted so it could fix the boxes? And why were the DCA’s leaders apparently among the last to be informed?
