Roger Federer loses to world's 116th-ranked player in absurd fashion

We've already experienced the lunacy of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal playing in a Grand Slam final in 2017, so we probably shouldn't be surprised at anything that happens this year, tennis-wise. Case in point: Federer followed up that Australian Open title by losing Wednesday to 116th-ranked qualifier Evgeny Donskoy in the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

And that's just one tiny portion of the story: Donskoy saved three match points in the second set, in which he rallied
