New Gold Inc. (TSX:NGD), Canada's 27th largest Metals & mining company by market cap, has lifted 2.4% but fell short of the 12-day Exponential Moving Average [EMA] of CAD3.88. Compared with the S&P/TSX 60 Index which rose 4.4 points (0.5%) in the day, the relative price increase was 1.9%. The volume was 0.9 times the average daily trading volume of 2.7 million shares. The stock last traded at CAD3.83.
