Louisville working to lure major international convention

The Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau said this week that Louisville is on the short list to host an international convention downtown that would draw thousands of attendees and create millions in local economic impact.

In its March Bureau Brief, the agency said it hosted members of the Lions Club International from Feb. 26 to March 1 for a local site visit.

The Lions Club International is an international service and humanitarian organization that serves individual communities
