Dan Hurley, the longtime head of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's Leadership Cincinnati program and WKRC journalist, will become the interim president of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
He replaces Clarence Newsome, who is leaving on March 31 and announced his departure in December.
Hurley will not be a candidate for the permanent position, said Jamie Glavic, a spokesman for the center, and the board will continue its search for one. He starts work today.
