Family fears worst as body is found after Montgomery fire

By late Friday morning, family members of Larry Pagliai - a 71-year-old accountant who lived alone - had gathered outside an awful scene, the charred remains of his house on a wooded lot in central Montgomery County, Md.

Nothing much was left standing, other than two chimneys towering over dark rubble. Whiffs of smoke still hung in the air. And just before noon, a covered body was taken out on a stretcher, loaded into a van, and driven off to the office of Maryland's chief medical examiner
