Cincinnati medical marijuana company plans Wilmington production facility

A group of Cincinnati investors has formed plans to build a medical cannabis production facility in Wilmington that could create hundreds of jobs.

CannAscend Ohio, a company headed by Jimmy Gould, Bill Brisben and Ian James, plans to apply for an Ohio cultivation facility license. The state can issue up to 12 licenses, each of which would allow companies to build a medical cannabis growing facility of up to 25,000 square feet.
