Capital: Hunt For Yield: Frencken, tech manufacturer linked to Jho Low's family, going ex-dividend

Shares in tech equipment maker Frencken Group have been gaining this year. Their 52% year-to-date rise is striking after a tepid performance in 2016. The stock closed at 36.5 cents on April 26, giving it a trailing 12-month dividend yield of 3.3%. Frencken will trade ex-dividend for a final dividend of 1.2 cents on May 2. The dividend will be paid out on May 12.

The company has been selling assets. On March 31, it completed the sale of Precico Electronics for RM128 million ($41.1 million).
