Nathan's profit jumps

Nathan's Famous reported a nearly 62 percent rise in net income for the quarter ended Dec. 25, due to falling sales costs and increasing royalty income. The Jericho hot-dog maker had net income of $699,000 for the quarter, up from $432,000 a year earlier, the company reported yesterday.
