A green sea turtle in Thailand had emergency surgery, above, to remove 915 coins which it had digested over many years after they were thrown in its pool by tourists seeking good luck. Veterinarians in Bangkok operated on the 25-year-old female, nicknamed Bank, after the 11lb of loose change cracked its shell, causing a life-threatening infection.
