Administrative Law Judge Orders Sysco To Bargain With Teamsters In Grand Rapids

 On March 2, 2017, an administrative law judge with the National Labor Relations Board ordered Sysco to begin bargaining with Teamsters Local 406 in Grand Rapids, Mich. after he found that the company threatened, intimidated and unlawfully punished workers during an organizing campaign in 2015.

The workers lost an election held May 7, 2015 by 11 votes. The administrative law judge found the evidence established that a majority of Sysco's Grand Rapids employees supported Local 406 prior to
